What we collect, why, who can see it, and how to ask for it back.

Draft, pending legal review

In short

Vouchd is a private membership for founders. We collect what we need to review your application, verify your business, place you in a small circle chosen around what you are looking for, and introduce you to people we believe you should meet. Nothing more.

  • Your data is stored in the European Union.
  • There is no open member directory.
  • We never read or store your circle's WhatsApp conversations.
  • Calendar access is free or busy only.
  • You can ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be deleted, at any time.

What we collect

When you apply: your name, business email, WhatsApp number, company name and website, your role, your market, the kind of business you run and its revenue band, your LinkedIn profile link, and your answers to our application questions.

When you are a member: your profile, the challenges and expertise you share with us, meeting attendance, your feedback after meetings, and the introductions you accept or decline.

When you take part: the questions you post in Ask and the answers you give, which answers you mark as helpful, your replies to events, and any dietary note you add when you say yes to an event.

With your consent: social preferences for in-person meetings, and free or busy times from a calendar you connect. See consents below.

How we use it

To review your application, place you in a circle that fits what you are looking for, arrange meetings, suggest introductions, write to you about your membership, and make meetings better over time.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with other members beyond what is described under Who can see what.

Consents

We ask for each of these separately, and never tick a box for you. You can withdraw any of them later.

  • WhatsApp. To send you reminders and introductions on WhatsApp, and to add you to your circle's group. We verify your number first.
  • Calendar. If you connect Google or Outlook, we read free or busy times only. We never see the title, people or content of your events.
  • Business verification. To check the business details in your application against public sources such as your website and company registries.
  • Social preferences. What you enjoy doing in person, so a first meeting suits the group. These are seen by our team only. They are never shown to members and never used in introduction texts.

Business verification

We verify business details only: that your email matches your company website, that the company is registered where a public registry exists, that the website is live and consistent with your application, and that your stated role is founder, co-founder, owner or CEO.

We never run credit checks or criminal record checks. We do not scrape LinkedIn. We store the link to your profile so a person can look at it.

Who can see what

There is no member directory. Members see the profiles of their own circle and of the people they have been introduced to. Nobody else. This is enforced in our database, not only in the app.

Ask. Questions and answers in Ask are read by members only, never by the public. They show your first name, your business type, and your rank only when many members share it, or "A member" when you post without your name. Our team can see who wrote an anonymous post, and reviews anything that is reported.

Events. Your reply to an event is seen by our team. For in-person events with limited places, members who are confirmed to attend see the first names of the other confirmed attendees, and only in the 7 days before the date. For 14 days after the event, members who attended see the first names of the others who came. The list marks people who are in your circle. For every other event, nobody else sees who is coming. Dietary notes are seen by you and our team only.

Your feedback about other members and your social preferences are visible to our team only. They are never shown to members, never included in exports for other people, and never used in introduction texts.

WhatsApp conversations

Your circle talks in its own WhatsApp group. We never read or store those conversations. We send messages from our own number for reminders and introductions, and we keep a record of what we sent.

AI and the assistant

Dan the Man is an AI-assisted assistant working with Daniel. It drafts introductions and helps our team review applications and suggest circles. Every message from Dan the Man is marked as AI-assisted. We never present AI text as written personally by Daniel.

AI suggests. A person decides. Acceptance, circle placement and introductions are always approved by a person on our team. AI tools receive only the information they need for the task, and we keep a log of every time they run.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored in the European Union. We work with a small number of service providers for hosting, email, messaging and analytics, each under a data processing agreement. We keep your data while you are a member or applicant, and for a limited time after, unless the law requires longer.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can access, correct, export and delete your data, object to how we use it, and withdraw any consent.

You can ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be deleted, at any time. Write to us and a person will help.

When your account is deleted, your questions and answers in Ask stay for the members who rely on them, but they show "Former member" instead of your name, and your name and contact details are taken out of the text. Your places at future events are released, and your dietary notes and event feedback notes are removed. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell members before it takes effect. Contact details for privacy questions will be published here before launch.
